Follow The 7-Second Rule When Walking Your Dog In The Heat:
With America engulfed in a heatwave, pet experts and meteorologists are reminding pet owners to follow the 7-Second Rule when walking their dogs. If you can’t hold your hand against the hot surface, then your pets should not be on it. They can burn their paws.” Asphalt and concrete are typically 20 to 35° warmer than the air temperature.
