Trash bags inside out?

A woman on TikTok is going viral for claiming we’re all using trash bags inside out.
She says you’re supposed to put them on the can like a hat, then push the bag down inside.  But it turns out it’s not really true.  You CAN do it like that.
But no, you haven’t been using them inside out your whole life
