Thanksgiving Dinner Survey
A new survey by Empower reveals that 66% of people say discussions about pay, raises, or bonuses should be off-limits during Thanksgiving dinner. Other findings:
– 72% of people say talk of debt and bills doesn’t belong at Thanksgiving dinner
– 76% of people believe it’s fine to politely steer conversations away from money during Thanksgiving dinner
– 34% of people say they’d rather talk politics than money at the Thanksgiving table
– 52% of people say big purchases (homes, cars, vacations, etc.) are not appropriate discussion topics for the Thanksgiving table
– 70% of people say asking others about their holiday spending or budgets should be avoided at Thanksgiving
