Florida Bringing Out Snow Plows For This Week’s Polar Vortex:
The Florida Department of Transportation is getting snow plows ready for a possible freeze in the state. The preparations are unusual. The freeze is expected to bring ice and possibly snow this week to the Panhandle and Northern and Central Florida. In the 1980s and 1990s, several Winter storms brought an inch or two of snow to Ocala and The Villages. Orlando International Airport last recorded snowflakes in 2016.
