Since January 7, 2025, wildfires that have ignited in the Los Angeles area have torched tens of thousands of acres of land, forced hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate, and has destroyed over 10,000 structures including homes, businesses, and schools.

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross is on the ground supporting Southern California residents, the organization said on Wednesday. Pasadena Humane Society
As of January 9, The Pasadena Humane Society has taken in over 300 animals- many with burns from the fires who are being cared for in the ICU. Animals are being provided with pain medications, fluids, oxygen, and wound care as needed. Monetary donations are needed to continue to provide help to animals affected by the fires including providing food, shelter, and medical care as needed.
California Fire Foundation
The California Fire Foundation is working with local fire agencies and community-based organizations to provide direct financial support to impacted residents as details of the damage emerge.
United Way of Greater Los Angeles
United Way focuses on longer-term recovery efforts to support members of the community, and the group said it is working with its community partners to assess the impact on the ground in the Los Angeles area.
Emergency Network Los Angeles
Emergency Network Los Angeles, Inc., provides assistance to people affected by disasters. ENLA is a legally registered 501(c)(3) funded by grants, member dues and donations.
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
The LA Regional Food Bank is working with government agencies, nonprofit and faith-based partners to provide food support to evacuees of the fires, as well as to those who are responding to and fighting the fires in the area.
Los Angeles Fire Department
The Los Angeles FD Foundation provides vital equipment and funds programs that help the LA Fire Department including wildland brush tools, hydration backpacks, and emergency fire shelters.
CAL FIRE Benevolent Foundation
CAL FIRE provides financial aid to firefighters and their families in the case of injury or loss of life. The organization also helps support burn victims and their families, along with research focused on firefighter health and safety.
YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles
The Y of Metropolitan Los Angeles is helping victims with shelter, childcare, and emergency supplies. They are also helping victims with replacement of government documents such as drivers licenses and Medicare cards.
What To Know About GoFundMe
GoFundMe has centralized all fundraisers related to the wildfires. The crowdfunding site has a California Wildfire Relief Fund that will be distributed to people seeking help through GoFundMe fundraisers and nonprofits providing relief, the company said.
