Malwarebytes Warns People Not To Buy Used iPhones With Tik Tok:
Malwarebytes says people should not buy or sell second-hand iPhones with Tik Tok already installed. Some of the phones are selling for as much as $50,000 because people deleted the app after it was banned and now can’t re-download it to their phone. Many of the used phones contain people’s personal information and puts them at risk for identity and financial theft
Apple recommends erasing all content before selling an iPhone to protect personal information. “When you tap Erase All Content and Settings, it completely erases your device, including any credit or debit cards you added for Apple Pay and any photos, contacts, music, or apps. It will also turn off iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, Game Center, and other services. Your content won’t be deleted from iCloud when you erase your device.”
