Scammers Targeting Late Tax Filers: Today is Tax Day.  The Better Business Bureau is warning people about a new scam that targets  late tax filers. They say scammers are using phishing emails, texts, and calls to steal information. Some scammers are so bold they send email links to people in hopes the people will click on the links, enter their credit card information, and pay off fake tax bills. The scammers threaten audits and fines if people don’t pay. The BBB urges filers not to share personal data and to verify contact with the IRS directly.
