Teddi Mellencamp tells Entertainment Weekly that her Father (John) once grounded her in front of Sean Penn and Madonna. “So my dad had Sean Penn and Madonna staying at our house, and I rode my bike to go ride horses and he said, ‘Okay, you’ll be back in three hours.’ And I said, ‘Yep, I’ll be back in three hours.’ And somehow six hours had passed and then I saw his car peeling into the stables and I’m like, oh no, I’m in trouble.”
Roger Daltrey tells Rolling Stone magazine that The Who were the first heavy metal band. “We were just different than everybody else. Americans don’t really know THE WHO from the early ’60s, but as the drummer of DEEP PURPLE said recently in a magazine, ‘THE WHO started it all.’ We were the first heavy metal band.”
Paul McCartney tells The Guardian that he felt the presence of John Lennon when writing his new album ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’. “My collaborator was probably one of the best writers of the century, so, yeah, you’re going to miss him.
