Parents Favor Startup Businesses Over College For Their Kids
A new survey by Talking Points reveals that 33% of parents want their kids to start their own business rather than go to college. Other findings:
– 63% of parents are already fostering an entrepreneurial spirit in their young kids
– 60% of parents say they are helping their young children learn about money
– 41% of parents think a degree is less important for a successful career than it was 20 years ago
– 59% of parents feel entrepreneurship is a more attractive option now than 20 years ago
– 87% of parents would like to see schools teach more entrepreneurial skills
– 62% of parents say social media and AI have made it easier for young people to start a business straight out of school.
