Atlantic Storm To Be Named Dolly: USA TODAY says a tropical wave in the Atlantic could become the fourth-named storm of the 2026 season. The wave is named Dolly. Dolly was chosen 30 years ago and is not linked to Dolly Parton. As of yesterday, Dolly was about 1,555 miles east of the Leeward Islands and moving west at 24 mph. Forecasters expect Dolly to weaken. If the storm stays together, it could reorganize near the Bahamas. It may also fall apart if wind shear and land interactions stop it.
